Here are a small number of stories from young people that Cornerstone Foundation seeks to help.
These particular stories are all from individuals who have been abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel militia group that have been held responsible for the abduction of an estimated 20,000 children from their homes in northern Uganda over the past 20 years. Many of these kidnapped children have been forced to become ‘child soldiers’ and commit brutal acts of violence against fellow Ugandan’s.
Please note that these stories contain graphic details which some readers will find disturbing. Nonetheless is it the reality for many children living in this volatile part of the world.
